Terms of sale

The terms that apply when you buy from ybbj.shop.

1. Who we are

ybbj.shop is operated by YBJ LTD, a company registered in Scotland. Our company number and registered office are listed on the Legal information page. You can contact us at support@ybbj.shop or on +44 7974175922.

2. These terms

These terms apply to every order placed on ybbj.shop. Please read them, together with our Shipping & delivery, Returns & refunds, Cancellation & withdrawal and Privacy pages, before you order. The shop is intended for consumers aged 18 or over. If you buy as a business, sections that protect consumers only apply where the law requires.

3. Products and descriptions

We describe each item with its material and its capacity or size as stated by our supply partners. Sizes marked “approx.” can vary slightly. Images show the style of the item; colours can look different on screen and natural materials such as bamboo, cotton and linen vary from piece to piece. We only describe uses such as oven, microwave, freezer or dishwasher use where the supplier states them with a temperature limit; if a listing does not mention them, they are not confirmed and we do not recommend them.

4. Placing an order and when the contract is made

  1. Add items to your basket, go to checkout, enter your details and choose a delivery country.
  2. Before you pay, the checkout shows the items, the price of each, shipping, any taxes charged at checkout and the total, in the currency you will be charged in. You can correct your details at any time before submitting the order.
  3. When you submit and pay, you make an offer to buy. We send an e-mail confirming that we have received your order. This is not yet an acceptance.
  4. The contract is made when we e-mail you to confirm dispatch. We may decline an order, for example if an item is unavailable, a price was clearly wrong, or the order cannot be delivered to the address given. If we decline after payment, we refund you in full.

The contract is concluded in English or in the language you used on the site. We keep a copy of your order and e-mail it to you.

5. Prices and currencies

  • Our catalogue prices are set in US dollars (USD). You can choose to view and pay in USD, euro (EUR), pound sterling (GBP), Canadian dollar (CAD) or Australian dollar (AUD). Prices in other currencies are converted by us at fixed rates we review from time to time and rounded; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
  • Shipping is charged separately and shown before you pay.
  • Import VAT, sales taxes, customs duties and carrier handling fees charged by the destination country are not included in our prices unless the checkout shows them separately, and may be collected on delivery. See Import taxes, duties and customs.
  • If a price is reduced, the previous price shown is the lowest price at which the item was offered on this site in the 30 days before the reduction.

6. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through a secure third-party payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details. Your order is charged in the currency shown at checkout. If your card is in a different currency, your bank may apply its own exchange rate or fees. See Payment & security.

7. Delivery

Orders are fulfilled by our supply partners and may be shipped from outside your country. Dispatch and transit estimates by region are on the Shipping & delivery page. If we cannot deliver within 30 days of the contract being made, you may cancel and receive a full refund. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you or to a person you nominate; ownership passes when we have received full payment.

8. Your right to cancel

Consumers can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. How to do this, the model form and the online withdrawal function are on the Cancellation & withdrawal page. We also accept returns of unused items within 30 days of delivery, as described on the Returns & refunds page.

9. Faulty goods and your legal rights

We must supply goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they are not, you have legal rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the UK and the legal guarantee of conformity in the EU. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

10. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier disruption, customs checks or severe weather. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your statutory consumer rights.

11. Using the items

Follow the care and safety information on each product page and on the item or its packaging. Check glass for chips or cracks before use and stop using any damaged item. Keep small parts such as seal rings and labels away from young children.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy, e-mail support@ybbj.shop with your order number. We acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and aim to give a full answer within 14 days. If you remain unhappy, you can ask for your complaint to be reviewed by a manager. You can also contact the consumer advice service or courts in your country. We do not currently participate in an alternative dispute resolution scheme.

13. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your home country or in the Scottish courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site when you place your order applies to that order.
